Terms of Service
These terms set the rules for using Yachtee as crew, an employer, an invited referee, a guest applicant or an administrator.
Please read these terms together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. If you are accepting these terms for a company, yacht, fleet, agency or management company, you confirm that you are authorised to do so.
Overview
Yachtee is a yacht crew recruitment platform operated by Yacht Career Hub OÜ, trading as Yachtee. We provide online tools for crew profiles, job discovery, applications, employer listings, candidate search, hiring workflows, reference verification, notifications, billing and related career or recruitment features.
By accessing or using Yachtee, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform. These terms apply to registered accounts, public job browsing, guest applications, invited reference verification links and paid services.
Crew can build profiles, store documents, apply to jobs and use optional Superyachtee career tools.
Employers can create verified workspaces, post jobs, review candidates and buy paid listing upgrades.
Yachtee provides recruitment software and job-board infrastructure. We are not a party to employment contracts unless we separately agree otherwise in writing.
AI and matching tools provide support signals. Employers and crew remain responsible for their decisions and checks.
Accounts
You must provide accurate information, keep your email address current and use Yachtee only if you are legally able to enter into these terms. The platform is intended for users who are at least 18 years old or otherwise legally able to work with yacht recruitment services in their jurisdiction.
Yachtee uses email-code authentication. You are responsible for controlling access to your email account, devices and sessions. Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you believe your account or verification link has been misused.
We may refuse, suspend or close accounts where information is inaccurate, activity appears abusive, an employer cannot be verified, legal obligations require it, or continued access would create risk for Yachtee or other users.
Crew responsibilities
- Keep your profile, CVs, certificates, availability, application materials and contact details accurate and up to date.
- Upload only documents, photos, videos and references that you have the right to share through Yachtee.
- Get appropriate permission before adding a referee or partner applicant, including their contact details or other personal information.
- Use public profile controls thoughtfully. If you set your profile to public, the selected public profile information can be visible on the web and indexed by search engines.
- Check any AI-generated cover letters, interview notes or profile suggestions before using them.
Employer responsibilities
Employer accounts are for captains, yacht owners, authorised representatives, agencies, management companies and related hiring teams. You must be authorised to act for the yacht, company, fleet, agency or organisation you represent.
- Listings must be accurate, lawful and posted for genuine crew recruitment needs.
- You are responsible for complying with employment, equality, immigration, maritime, tax, wage, background-check and recruitment laws that apply to your hiring process.
- Candidate data, CVs, documents, references, contact details and AI suitability information may be used only for legitimate recruitment and hiring purposes.
- You must not use Yachtee to discriminate unlawfully, harass candidates, scrape candidate data, build unrelated databases, send spam or contact crew for non-recruitment purposes.
- If you add notification recipients or colleagues to a listing, you are responsible for ensuring they are authorised to receive candidate and listing information.
Applications
Crew may apply from an account or through a guest application flow where a job allows public applications. Guest applicants may need to verify their email before submitting. Application materials, CVs, profile snapshots and partner applicant details may be shared with the employer managing the job.
Yachtee does not guarantee that any application will be viewed, shortlisted, hired, rejected with feedback or result in employment. Employers control their hiring decisions and are responsible for contacting candidates and making lawful offers.
Payments
Paid services may include Superyachtee crew subscriptions and Premium or Pro employer listing purchases. Prices, billing periods, listing durations and included features are shown at checkout or on the pricing page at the time of purchase.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Yachtee does not store full card numbers.
- Superyachtee subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled through the account settings or Stripe-managed checkout flow.
- Cancelling a subscription stops future renewals but does not normally refund the current paid period unless required by law or approved by Yachtee.
- Paid employer listings are normally one-off purchases for the selected listing tier and duration. Paid listings may expire, archive or be extended according to the listing rules shown in the product.
- We may change prices or features prospectively. We will not change the price of an already completed one-off listing purchase.
AI tools
Yachtee uses AI-assisted features for tasks such as CV parsing, profile prefill, cover-letter drafting, interview preparation, candidate matching and suitability assessment for paid employer listings. AI output may be incomplete, inaccurate or influenced by the information provided to it.
AI assessment and matching are support tools only. Employers must not rely on them as the sole basis for hiring, rejection or other decisions that materially affect a person. Crew and employers should review AI output before using it.
Content and visibility
You retain ownership of profile content, applications, job listings, documents and other content you submit. You grant Yachtee a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, store, copy, process, display, transmit, analyse and share that content as needed to operate, secure and improve the platform, including aggregate product analytics and conversion measurement where permitted by your cookie choices.
We may remove, limit, edit formatting, unpublish or refuse content that appears unlawful, misleading, abusive, irrelevant, unsafe, spammy, technically harmful or inconsistent with these terms. We may also correct obvious formatting, routing or categorisation issues in listings and profiles.
Acceptable use
- Do not interfere with platform security or availability.
- Do not attempt to access another account or private area.
- Do not scrape, bulk export or resell platform data.
- Do not upload malware, unlawful content or fake documents.
- Do not impersonate another person or organisation.
- Do not use Yachtee for spam, harassment, fraud, illegal recruitment, trafficking, exploitative work or unlawful discrimination.
Liability
Yachtee is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We work to keep the platform secure and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free output, successful hiring, candidate suitability, job availability or the accuracy of user-submitted information.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Yachtee is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive losses, lost profits, lost opportunities, lost data or hiring outcomes. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Ending access
You may stop using Yachtee at any time. Registered users can manage communication preferences, visibility, sessions and some account settings inside the app. You can also contact [email protected] for account or data requests.
We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, create risk for users or the platform, fail employer verification, misuse personal data, do not pay amounts due or if we are required to do so by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Estonia, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights that may apply in your country of residence. Disputes will be handled by the competent courts of Estonia unless mandatory law requires a different forum.
We may update these terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will take reasonable steps to notify registered users. Continued use of Yachtee after an update means you accept the updated terms.
